Despite the pedigree which might lead you to think this horse should be half rocket, I think the route of ground today is going to do WONDERS for Bobby Bo. He’s obviously got speed and talent but he doesn’t have that extra gear to be brilliant going short. But I think he can get into his high gear and maintain that speed over the foes today. In this work, he is quick but look at the stretch and the gallop out where he keeps that smooth stride poured on. I’ve been waiting for the stretch. Graduation today.

Big Novel (Outside) and Eagle Chief Worked 5 Furlongs at Del Mar on July 25th, 2021
Very nice gate drill from this debuter who was smart out of the stalls and very professional throughout. The mate she trounces for fun is an older colt with 7 outs. Still a maiden but has hit the board several times against maiden allowance company so he wasn’t just a beat up buddy. Her biggest competition is Connie Swingle but Big Novel might be a little more professional mentally and be able to get the job done. Will be playing both those fillies both ways.
