Belmont Park – 4th race – 1-Galileo’s Song (2-1)
Was given a run in her debut last month at Gulfstream Park and will get serious today while stretching out to 10 furlongs in this maiden filly and mare turf router. The Chade Brown-trained filly finished strongly but too late in her only outing while giving every indication that she’ll improve with experience and distance. A healthy work tab, including a bullet workout, are additional positives. She’s a straight play and a logical rolling exotic single.
Churchill Downs – 4th race – 5-Harlands Thunder (6-1)
First time starter is bred to be quick on both sides of her pedigree and looks like a very live item in this juvenile sprint for fillies. Her dam had intense early speed and this daughter of Harlan’s Holiday appears to have inherited some of it. Though Mott doesn’t often win with first-timers, he appears to have this one fit and ready. At 6-1 on the morning line she’s a straight play and rolling exotic single.
