Belmont Park – 4th race – 5-Is Everybody Happy (5-1)
From the first crop of Maclean’s Music, this quick juvenile raised some eyebrows with a very impressive debut maiden win at Delaware Park last month, opening up quickly at the head of the lane and dominating to the wire despite appearing a tad green. There’s plenty of raw talent here, and with a race under his belt the Glen Hill Farm homebred looks capable of handling this tougher assignment. Let’s hope to get close to his morning line of 5-1 in the straight pool and we’ll key him in rolling exotic play as well.
Belmont Park – 9th race – 1-Sea Calisi-Fr (2-1)
Was highly impressive in her U.S. debut, winning the Sheepshead Bay Stakes-G2 under wraps after displaying an impressive turn of foot when rallying from last to first in the space of a sixteenth of a mile. A Group stakes winner in France last year, the Chad Brown-trained four-year-old tackles a tougher field today but should be up to the task, so we’ll make her a strong straight play and rolling exotic single and hope to get close to her morning line of 2-1.
