Classy Cal bred returned to the races with a solid effort in a small field and looks like she is ready to fight on. In this work she was in the bridle and very much in charge of her work mate with no ask. She has failed to swap leads before so happy to see that accomplished here.There are a pair of stakes caliber fillies in here but they are both 3 year olds with layoffs to overcome so I am going to back Big Sweep.

The Met (Outside) and Glazed Pepper Worked 4 Furlongs at Del Mar on July 25th, 2021
The Met skitters on out of the gate here to demolish a workmate and want more. Well drawn to the outside here plus he gets a full field of firsters and we know Mendez can have one ready to go. I don’t think he’s a single but he’s a must use based on this work.

M Is for Magic (10)
M Is For Magic Worked 4 Furlongs in 47.00 at Del Mar on July 26th, 2021
Eurton is a gem getting them ready off the bench and M is For Magic looks ready. I see why they run this filly on the grass with her action but she doesn’t look bad on the main track as well. Getting the flat five furlongs could be key here. The one thing I know is that fitness won’t be a question mark.
